If you cannot attend the auction in person, you can place an absentee (commission) bid by submitting your maximum bid via the form below. You will then need to email or call us at 01451 821666 with your debit card details, including the card number, expiry date, and the 3-digit CVC code.
Important: Please only place absentee bids if you have viewed the lot(s) in person.
Deadline: All bids must be received by 6 p.m. the day before the auction.
When you leave a maximum bid (for example, £100 on Lot 323), the auctioneer will bid on your behalf against all other bidders up to your maximum bid amount. Here's how it works:
If bidding stops at £50, the auctioneer will bid £55 for you.
If another bidder raises it to £60, the auctioneer will bid £65 on your behalf.
This continues until your maximum bid is reached.
The auctioneer will always strive to secure the lot for you at the lowest possible price, and will never start bidding at your maximum amount unless the reserve price is set at that level.
If your bid is successful, we will contact you to arrange payment and collection.
By completing this form, you agree to the following:
Viewing: You or your agent have viewed the lot(s) in person.
Card Details: Your commission bids will not be processed unless you provide your debit/credit card details in advance.
Terms and Conditions: You have read and agree to the Tayler & Fletcher Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Payment and Collection: You agree to pay for and collect the lot(s) within a week of the sale.
Under certain circumstances, pre-payment for commission bids may be required for individuals unfamiliar to us. These pre-payments are held as refundable deposits in our clients' account. Unsuccessful bidders will be refunded the full amount the next working day after the sale. Any balance due for successful bids will also be refunded promptly.
